Rich Hestekind Studio SaleRich Hestekind is moving out of his Marenakos studio space to his new and improved Camano Island studio.  He has decades of accumulated stone, and some tools he wishes to sell.

On Sunday January 13th, at Marenakos, starting at 10am, there will be a public auction of the remainder of his stone and tools. NWSSA’s Al Mangold will be the auctioneer.

There is everything from soft to hard stone, and all kinds of tools, tables, and goodies for us stoners.

As a side note, he also has a couple of pieces of sculpture that have not been recently displayed that he will be setting up (or aside) for sale at well below gallery prices. If you are a fan of his work, or know someone who might be, drag them along. Rich Hestekind Studio Auction

A Partial List of Items to be auctioned:

  • Wide assortment of carving stone including French dolomite, travertine, marble, alabaster, onyx, limestone, basalt and other assorted stones.
  • Architectural stone including Wilkeson sandstone slabs and pieces, Tenino sandstone blocks and pieces, granite slabs and pieces and basalt slabs.
  • Equipment for water features including fountain supporting receptacles and assorted grates.
  • Handling equipment including lifts, carts, and tables. Heavy duty gantry. Pallet racks
  • Assortment of tools including some core drills and pneumatic tools.
