The Northwest Stone Sculptors Association (NWSSA) is excited to announce its participation in the prestigious 36th Annual Best of the Northwest Spring Show, taking place this April 12-13, 2025 at Hangar 30, Magnuson Park (6310 NE 74th St, Seattle, WA 98115).
NWSSA will be featured in a special exhibit that highlights both the talent of its members and the art of stone carving, offering a unique opportunity for attendees to engage with this centuries-old craft.

The Best of the Northwest Spring Show, hosted by the Northwest Arts Alliance, is renowned for showcasing high-end, juried artwork from over 115 exceptional artists. As part of this event, NWSSA will occupy a dedicated space near the east exit of the building, where a range of interactive activities and exhibits will be presented. Visitors will have the chance to witness live stone carving demonstrations, and view a curated selection of sculptures created and for sale by NWSSA artists.
In addition to live carving demonstrations, 4 youth-oriented soapstone carving sessions will be set up, providing young visitors with the opportunity to explore their creativity under the guidance of experienced sculptors. The space will also feature a demo booth to observe hand carving, and attendees can also enjoy a selection of sculptures available for purchase, with price points ranging from $80 to $900. Larger works will be displayed in the main Hangar building.
“We are thrilled to have The Northwest Stone Sculptors Association be a part of this well-respected event,” said Marissa Motto, Event Director for the Northwest Arts Alliance. “Their participation not only highlights the beauty of stone carving but also introduces the art form to a new generation of enthusiasts.
“We are truly looking forward to this show,” said Pat Barton of NWSSA. “It aligns perfectly with our mission and offers a wonderful platform for both emerging and seasoned artists. We encourage all our members to participate and make this event a success.”
We look forward to seeing you at the Best of the Northwest Spring Show!
