The Northwest Stone Sculptors Association (NWSSA), a nonprofit arts organization dedicated to promoting the art of stone carving, is seeking a web development company or professional team based in King County, WA to support the revitalization and long-term maintenance of our WordPress website: carvestone.org.
Please Note: This project is funded by a 4Culture grant, and therefore, eligible applicants must be based in King County, Washington.

Scope of Work

Phase 1: Website Repair or Rebuild

• Conduct a technical and content audit of our existing WordPress site.
• Recommend whether to fix or fully rebuild for performance, usability, and long-term stability and growth.
• Redesign or reorganize the site for a more modern, creative, and easy-to-navigate experience.
• Ensure mobile responsiveness and accessibility.
• Reflect NWSSA’s identity as an inclusive community of artists and educators.

Phase 2: Ongoing Maintenance and Support

• Perform regular WordPress core, theme, and plugin updates.
  
• Assist with Gravity Forms creation and management for event and symposium registration.
• Provide troubleshooting and responsive technical support as needed.
  
• Offer light training or documentation for NWSSA staff or volunteers to manage routine updates.

Ideal Qualifications:

• Demonstrated experience with WordPress development and maintenance.
• Familiarity with Gravity Forms and registration workflows.
• Experience working with nonprofits or arts organizations.
• Clear, collaborative communication style and ability to work with a small team.

Budget & Timeline:

• Businesses must reside in King County, WA (required by 4Culture grant funding).
• Please include cost estimates for both the initial website work and ongoing support.

Target start date: August, with initial improvements delivered within 4-6 weeks.
