Pets On Parade at The Schack
Schack Art Center is seeking artists who work in all mediums, including painting, photography, glass, ceramics, wood and jewelry, for the 2019 Pets on Parade Art Exhibit: March 7th- April 13th. From functional and sculptural, to the whimsical, we want to have something for everyone (including pets)! All price points welcome! Pets on Parade will be exhibited in the Main Gallery, and will accompany the 2019 Artist of the Year Exhibit: Janie Olsen, in the Mezzanine Gallery. The exhibit will open Thursday, March 7th, with a “Meet the Artists” reception from 5-8pm. All are welcome – including well behaved pets of any nature!

Eun Parker How did the idea come to you?“Birth” was inspired by my father. Process: Maquette? Drawing? Direct Carve? Other?By drawing and sometimes makes modeling with air dry clay. Hardest part?Making the center of hole. Easiest part?None. What did you learn from the making of this piece? “Balance.” Carrara marble was strong but very soft, too.
