Pratt Fine Arts Center is seeking a highly motivated and skilled Beginning Stone Carving Instructor to join its
dynamic team.

Job summary
The Beginning Stone Carving: Hand Tools Instructor is responsible for creating engaging curriculum and learning
experiences for Pratt students in the Stone Studio. Responsibilities will include teaching Beginning Stone Carving: Hand
Tools class and an occasional special topics class, such as Intermediate Stone Carving: Intro to Power Tools. Must be able
to clearly communicate technical information to students, including using hand tools for the reduction process of carving
stone, as well as introduce students to pneumatic hand hammers. This includes maintaining a safe classroom
environment as well as manage and maintain the stone yard for students during the duration of the classes.

supply list for classes which will be approved by studio manager.

learning experiences for Pratt students in the Stone Studio. Responsibilities will include teaching Intermediate Stone
Carving: Intro to Power Tools class and an occasional special topics class, such as Beginning Stone Carving: Hand Tools.
Must be able to clearly communicate technical information to students, including using a variety of power tools for the
reduction process of carving harder stone. This includes maintaining a safe classroom environment as well as manage
