Minutes of NWSSA BOD Meeting 9-14-2022

CALL TO ORDER

A meeting of the Board of Directors of the ORGANIZATION was duly called on 9/14/22, at 6:30 p.m. PST.  Ellie Hochman (President) called the meeting to order.

Approval of minutes of previous meeting

Meeting minutes from the prior meeting were approved through “on line” vote.

Committe Reports

Treasurer’s report: (Cyra Jane)

Cyra presented a finance overview.

Membership: (Pat Barton)

Pat discussed printing needs to be anticipated for the coming season.

Communications Committee: (Leah Davidson)

Leah gave an update on the status of the website and recent communications committee activity. She requests 2 hours of time at board retreat for a workshop.

Journal Committee: (Arliss Newcomb)

Arliss proposes expanding the journal to either 6 issues annually or adding 4 pages to the quarterly journal.

Committee structure discussion: Tamara Buchanan

Ellie volunteered to be Journal Committee liaison.

Markos volunteered for Nominations and Membership committees.

Follow up on Marymoor Park planning: Ben Mefford

Currently waiting for a signed draft back from 4Culture. It’s a reimbursement grant.

Retreat planning discussion

Ellie moved to include Renee in the BOD Retreat. Cyra seconded and the motion passed unanimously.

Jeremy moved to allot 2 hours at the BOD retreat for Leah D. to run a Communications Committee workshop. Motion was seconded by Pat Barton and passed unanimously.

Open Community Discussion

Meg Pettibone pledged a donation of $2000.00 for BOD retreat costs with any unused remainder going to the general fund.
