5th Annual Sculpture Walk: NWSSA, Evergreen Arboretum & Gardens and the Shack Art Center join together for this event!

The Sculpture Walk will be held August 16th and 17th. This is the same weekend that the Schack Arts Center holds its’ popular annual Fresh Paint event in downtown Everett. NWSSA and the Arboretum will share a tent at the Fresh Paint event to promote visitors and attendance at the Sculpture Walk. Hundreds of people attended the Sculpture Walk in previous years. Artists will display their work on pedestals placed throughout the beautiful environment of the Arboretum both Saturday and Sunday. Overnight security is also provided.

Two Soapstone Carving Workshop will provided on Saturday in the kiosk at the Arboretum. The workshop will be free but registration is required on the Evergreen Arboretum and Gardens website under “Events & Classes”.

Volunteers: We will be looking for volunteers to demonstrate carving in a tent at the Arboretum entryway. Also, looking for volunteers at the Fresh Paint tent downtown to promote interest in carving and NWSSA. To sign up or if you have questions please contact constjones@gmail.com

Saturday August 16
8:00 am – participants arrive to build/set up pedestals and arrange show
10:00 am – Sculpture Walk opens to the public
10:00 am – Youth Soapstone Carving Workshop
5:00 pm – Arboretum buffet dinner for members and artists
Overnight Security Provided

Sunday, August 17
10:00 – Sculpture Walk opens to the public
4:00 – Sculpture Walk closes to the public, break down begins
