NWSSA, Evergreen Arboretum & Gardens, Everett Parks, and the Schack Art Center are hosting a two-day Sculpture Walk. This event is much like those held at the end of our symposiums. Hundreds of people came through to see the two-day show, which was nothing short of spectacular.
This year, our event is hosted during the full weekend of “Fresh Paint” (see: https://www.schack.org/events/fresh-paint/). SCHACK ART CENTER will be promoting the sculpture walk, which is 2 miles away and a 4 min drive. NWSSA will have a booth in the downtown Everett area, directing visitors to the Arboretum
Pedestals will be placed throughout the arboretum. There will be a large demo tent at the entrance, and NWSSA will be hosting two sessions of a Youth soapstone Carving event on Saturday August 19th.
We are looking for volunteers to set up the NWSSA tent downtown at the Fresh Paint site, and “run” the tent both Saturday and Sunday 10 to 5 in 2.5 to 3 hour shifts.
