2016 Occidental Park Show

This is a Call to Artists for all members of NWSSA to participate in the September First Thursday Art Walk in Occidental Park in downtown Seattle. This will be the second year that NWSSA has participated in the Art Walk.

The Art Walk and sculpture show are sponsored by the Downtown Seattle Association, and Arundel Books will be providing secure overnight storage for sculptures and pedestals. We will have a large area for display, so we will be able to give each piece lots of space. Participation in the show requires working the booth for a day with other carvers and helping with either set up or tear down.

The show runs from Thursday, September 1st to Saturday, September 3rd. Show hours will be 11am to 9pm. Setup will start at 9:30 on Thursday, and 10am on Friday and Saturday. We will also need to bring sculptures and pedestals inside each night, so plan for an extra hour after the show closes.

For each day, we will need volunteers to help with setup, work the booth during the day, and help with bringing stuff inside at night. If you are interested in participating in this event, please contact me as soon as possible.
